I found these just by browsing Amazon's toys before Christmas, looking for ideas for my 4 year old who is literally obsessed with road signs. I wasn't sure what they'd be like, or how they'd hold up, but I was more than pleasantly surprised....these things are fantastic.

They're cute, strong, easy to grip for little hands. Made of sustainable wood (a huge plus!) and NOT manufactured in China. The colors are vibrant and look just like the real signs - and after 6 months of really hard use, travel (they go everywhere with us) and tons of play, they are still flawless - the paint has worn a little, but they are in perfect shape otherwise.

For a child who loves playing with cars and roads or parking garages, these are a must - very impressive in more ways than one!

I bought these signs for my 3 year old who is currently obsessed with road signs. These are awesome, sturdy, well constructed toys. Plan toys are environmentally friendly, educational and unique. The road signs are a fantastic addition to blocks or vehicles. They promote pre-reading skills and imaginative play. I look forward to purchasing more items from this company.

These toy signs will go on the Giant Road Rug I also bought from amazon and with the book of Signs in Our World from amazon. My 3-year-old grandson already has many small metal cars, and I am giving him also a toy 18-wheeler truck that is a car carrier. My husband is a little jealous. These wooden signs are perfect and high quality.

These were instant favorites for our little sign-spotter! These really help the imagination connect the world outside with our indoor play. We've noticed that his recognition of shapes, colors, numbers, and letters all improved as a result of this toy along with the book also seen in the photos I posted (Also a love-at-first sight item!). I bought this for my four year old nephew, who is completely obsessed with signs. I was hoping they would be a little bigger, as these are only about two inches tall, but I think they are great for their purpose. They will go great with his train sets!

Fun with matchbox size cars Talula #2011-09-27

Purchased as a gift to use with the "City Rug" for a 7 yr old who enjoys playing with matchbox size cars. I was pleased with the quality and he enjoyed them.

Disappointed Wilma Rahn #2011-04-05

I received this today and had ordered for a gift for my grandson. Do not order it as you will not get the signs that are pictured in the description. When I opened the box they were not like the signs on the box (pictured above). In small print it says they made not look like those pictured on the box. Amazon won't give me a refund and if I get a replacement I'll probably get more "foreign" signs that he won't even recognize. Don't bother ordering these.

Terrific addition to road or rail play JudiAU #2009-11-22

My two year old loves to add these to his road or rail play. He will often want to take one with him in the car and look at the signs as we drive. They make a nice gift too.

My son loves anything signs,we take these in a pouch to the grocery store. They are great for his train table,(he calls it the sign table.) They are a pretty realistic, which he likes.

We purchased these for our son for his 3rd birthday. He is quite the road sign nut and spots them on every trip in the car. I love that they are educational as well as fun to play with. He uses them alone, with his matchbox cars, and also on his train table.

Plan toys are always high-quality and the wood is very smooth. I have noticed that after several months of heavy use, the corners of the signs have dulled and some have splintered slightly...the wood is so soft, the splinters wipe right off and are not a hazard, but definitely not a toy for children who still put toys in their mouths.
